the real deal

April 1, 2008

The most effective form of groundfighting is not Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. Far from it.

In terms of self-defense, jiu-jitsu – or any kind of grappling actually – is ridiculously overrated. Yup, overrated.

It’s time that I, as a BJJ practitioner, cast the truth from out of the darkness and into the light for all to behold.

The skills we learn from grappling are useless. The training we put our bodies through, a waste of time. The conditioning we develope, nonsense.

I strongly urge all of you reading this post to free your minds from the dogma of classical set positions, to unlearn what you all believe is a live encounter and open your eyes to a truly superior form of groundfighting.

Here is a detailed explaination of the same video.

Hard to believe, but this will – in all probability – save your life one day.
